Keep a record of your phone’s IMEI and serial information in a safe place. If you suspect foul play while submitting your phone for repair, this gives you a sense of security. Go to Settings -> General ->about on an iPhone. You may find the serial number and IMEI in Settings -> About Phone on Android devices.

The most straightforward approach to minimize this risk is to avoid having your iphone repaired by a third-party store. Instead, contact the device’s maker for any service or replacement parts you require.
